Seeds of the Future

​Dave and I try to plant our garden by the moon's astrological signs, above ground stuff when the moon is waxing, and root crops during a waning moon. Here he's planting lettuce in a strainer -- which works for a cute container garden.

This practice is very old -- not planting in containers, but gardening according to moon phase.
