Woman Afraid of Water characters Fun With AI -- yeah, I know all the reasons AI sucks, it's cheesy, but it's still kinda fun. I used it to create images of my characters -- not for commercial purposes, but for my own inspiration. I could not convince the robot to give Lady Cairne Auldwedd a nose ring in her right nostril, which was a symbol of marriage amongst Briton women. However, I am immensely pleased with Dr. Joyce DelaFemina, the anthropologist studying the AmeriCelts, the Woman Afraid of Water herself. It even got her ugly Oxford shoes right. Joyce's love interest, Graine the Bard, didn't turn out half-bad, although I could not quite convince the software to have him holding a Cymric / Welsh harp. And I really like the images of Dr. Pauletta Healy and grad student Ayafemme, who assist Joyce in her study of the Celts, and get caught up by magick and a blood feud along the way. It's fun to mess with but is unlikely to become a habit. |
